This is a very very very interesting question. But I am sorry, I do not know! I wish I know! Circulation was, obviously, very different to present day circulation. There are some studies that try to predict how was it, but they are preliminary. I think, but remember it is just my guess, that it probably existed a circum-Pangaea current (like the present day Arctic). And the circulation between surface and bottom probably happened in the north pole, or specially, since the south pole accumulated a lot of continental mass, especially in the Permian (300 to 250 million years ago).
This question is not only a good question, it can be considered a research proposal!!
