This is a really tough question!
I know that the Deccan Traps is the volcanic eruption that people think killed the dinosaurs because it happened about the same time (65 million years ago!) and it was *HUGE*!! The lava flows cover a huge portion of India!
But as a scientist, I think I have to say that it is probably much more complicated than just because of one (huge) eruption. I think maybe many things happened at the same time and like a jigsaw puzzle, each piece came together to kill the dinosaurs. The eruption would definitely have caused some serious damage though!
can you imagine what it would be like now if the dinosaurs were still alive?? 🙂
