Himalayas, the tallest mountains on Earth, are the result of the collision between India and Eurasia.
India was part of a continent called Gondwana. This continent contained the present day Africa, South America, Australia, Antarctica and India. India separated from Africa about 80 million years ago and later on collided with Eurasia. This collision caused the uplift of the Hymalayan mountain range.
